Our treatments are person centred underpinned by our recovery model with focus on psychoeducation and coping skills to prevent relapse. Our treatments are driven by evidence based practise which consist of thorough diagnostic assessment of the individual followed by customised treatment interventions backed by sound research evidence. All individuals are treated with respect and dignity regardless of diagnosis in a serene, calm and beautiful therapeutic environment that will enhance recovery.

General Adult Mental Disorder Services
  • Outpatients Screening and Assessment Services*
    • Anxiety disorders such as Generalised Anxiety, Adjustment Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Phobias, Hypochondriasis and other unexplained physical health complaints.  
    • Depressive Disorders including Mild and Moderate Depression, Mixed Anxiety and Depressive states, Cyclothymia
    • Adult ADHD & Autism
    • Eating disorders
    • Personality Disorders
    • Other Stress related symptoms
    • Forensic and Medico-legal services including Court Reports
    • Follow up reviews for discharged patients

  • Admission**
    • For people with Severe Depression or Moderate Depression with Risk Behaviours
    • For people with active Psychosis including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorders, Delusional Disorders, Organic Psychosis, Drug related Psychosis and other types of Psychosis
    • Active phases of a Bipolar Affective Disorder e.g Mania or Hypomania
    • Any general mental disorder of unclear presentation or pattern that requires in-patient observation
    • Any mental disorder associated with risk behaviours such as suicide intent/attempt and/or violent and aggressive behaviours
    • Severe Anxiety Disorders
    • Severe Personality disorders
    • Complex presentation i.e a combination of any of the above

Addiction Services
  • Confidential treatment for all forms of addictions including:
    • Alcohol
    • Cocaine
    • Cannabis
    • Heroin and other opiates
    • Prescription drugs
    • Novel psycho active substances ( e.g Spice and other “legal highs”)  
  • We also treat problems underlying the addictions such as depression , anxiety , traumatic life events etc

    • Mild cognitive impairments and other unexplained memory symptoms
    • Assessment of other Organic mental disorders e.g in Acquired Brain Injury

  • Admission**
    • For people with Severe Behaviour and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD)
    • For people with unexplained symptoms suggestive of Dementia that requires 24 hours assessment and diagnostic observation
    • Any Dementia associated with risk behaviours such as suicide intent or attempts
    • Other complex Organic Disorders
    • Acquired Brain Injury with risk behaviours including violence and aggression.

Perinatal Psychiatry Services
  • Outpatients Screening and Assessment Services*
    • Pre-natal Mental Health Counselling
    • Postnatal Depression
    • Depression during pregnancy
    • Psychosis during pregnancy and perinatal periods
    • Advice on psychotropic medication use during pregnancy
    • Screening for other mental disorder during pregnancy.

    • 24 hours response to any psychiatric emergency
    • Home treatment services
    • Access to secure ambulance services to convey to hospital

 

  • Admission**
    • Mother and Baby units
    • Puerperal psychosis
    • Any other severe mental disorder during perinatal period that requires hospital care

Liaison Psychiatry Services
  • We are able to send our Specialists out to other hospitals to conduct assessment and reviews and advise on management of patients with mental disorders
